While Detroit does it with Verlander and Cabrera, it would be suicide to do that on your pitching staff. The Giants are in a tough spot. Lincecum probably has to take a smaller deal (though maybe six years?) in order to protect himself against injury, or he'll be year to year through the 2013 season. All 110 pounds of him.
